My name is Tryggvi Már Gunnarsson, a tour guide, teacher and photographer. I started guiding tourists after graduating from the Guiding School of Iceland in 1998. I have been fortunate enough to travel to some of the country’s most scenic places in all sorts of weather conditions, seen erupting volcanoes and melting glaciers, sometimes under the northern lights.
I have guided tours for Iceland Rovers, Icelandic Mountain Guides and Iceland Photo Tours, to mention a few. I have a dimploma in tour guiding, a Wilderness First Responder certificate, an extended driver’s licence and 19 years of experience in the field of tourism.
I have finished The Complete Course in Professional Photography at the New York Institute of Photography in 2016, and have a small studio in Kopavogur. You can see some of my work at my flickr page.
Services to tourists coming to Iceland
I can provide all sorts of service for all looking for an adventure in Iceland. Instead of offering pre-planned tours on fixed dates, I am more interested in hearing what you would like to do, find the right time and work from there. I believe that I can provide personal, high quality service, both in planning and operating your tour. If you are interested in hearing from me, please send me an e-mail, or fill in the form here, and check my terms of service.
I look forward to hearing from you!
