Photography tours in Iceland is a great choice for anyone looking for great light, variable weather conditions and great landscapes. The selection of tours is great and many great photographers offer long tours, workshops and tutorials of all kinds. My focus is mainly on day tours from Reykjavik.
Yesterday afternoon I did a Golden Circle tour with clients from New York, visiting the National Park of Þingvellir, Geysir and the Gullfoss waterfall. By visiting these places in the afternoon we had better light for our photos and better access to the sites because we were not there on the busiest hours. Weather conditions were somewhat challenging, rain and wind in some places, but that just gave us a more interesting background and light to our photos.
Tonight we will then do the Reykjanes Wild & Volcanic tour, bathe in the Blue Lagoon and end the night by searching the aurora.
And that is what Iceland Photo Walk is about. Adapting our tours to the conditions we have each day, find the best time of day for great light for your photos and always be open to interesting photo-ops, no matter the weather.
