Last weekend I did a private south coast tour with 3 people from Greece. It was an on-demand tour from people I guided four years ago. This time we did the tour in super-jeep, since we wanted to see a little bit into the interiore of the country. We drove to the foot of the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano, visited waterfalls, glaciers and black sandy beaches.
Obviously my main focus was on guiding this wonderful people so I did not do much of photography myself. But to keep my photography alive I gave myself a theme for the tour that I had in mind all along: “Vertical abstract.” I then chose three of the images and stiched them together into a triptych when I got home.
In postprocessing I was aiming at increasing contrasts and using the light to lead the eye around the image.
